BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Philadelphia Naval Reserve Basin Dredging project consisted maintenance dredging and unclassified excavation. Great Lakes Dredge & Dock was the Contractor of this project. TITAN provided the Quality Control Manager.
Dredging is located in the Philadelphia Naval Reserve Basin and entrance channel of the Schuylkill River. The scope of work consists of dredging material and debris, consisting of sediment, wood, concrete, steel, miscellaneous and MEC/UXO to MLLW 30ft. Dredging is completed in four acceptance sections. Dredged material is unloaded from scows and hydraulically offloaded to the Ft. Mifflin disposal site. The material is then run through a sluice to manage effluent densities
