BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Contract: W912EP13D0010 and W912EP17F0058
This contract was in response to the impact of 2016’s Hurricane Matthew. The channel needed to be returned to the authorized depths by dredging shoal from the St. Lucie Inlet.
Maintenance included the removal of approximately 384,000 cubic yards.
Material was placed 10-miles offshore of Jupiter Island.
Turbidity and endangered species monitoring was performed throughout the contract.
Dredging was done 24 hours a day and required our Site Safety and Health Officers to be on the project doing two 12-hour shifts.
