BRIEF DESCRIPTION
NJ Sandy Hook Channel Maintenance project was part of the New York Harbor Federal Navigation Project.
Dredging is located in the area of the Gateway National State Park, and the scope of work consisted of dredging material, primarily sand, to MLLW 35ft.
Material was mechanically dredged and loaded into scows. Scows were transported and bottom dumped at the Historical Area Remediation Site (HARS) with dredge material inspectors (DMI) onboard during operations.
