BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Project was for removing and disposing of shoaled material which had accumulated in the channels since last dredging. A hydraulic cutter suction dredge was used for a dredging depth of 12′ plus 2′ of allowable overdepth for the AIWW and 9′ plus 2′ of allowable overdepth for the USCG channels and basin. The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 500,000 cubic yards. Disposal of dredged material will be on ocean beaches and disposal islands. The disposal islands are confined disposal areas with containment dikes and spillway systems. Spillway system repairs and dike embankment work will be required. Conducted safety inspections on all pieces of equipment
TITAN performed quality control management and site safety management for this project. In addition TITAN handled reviewing, scheduling, certifying and managing the submittals through the 3-Phase process of inspection.
