BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Venice Inlet Maintenance dredging project was to dredge shoaled areas in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) and Venice Inlet. The required depth to be dredged was 9’ with a 2’ allowable over depth and seven 7 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) with a 1-foot allowable over depth.

All dredged material was beach-quality and was placed in the beach disposal area, just south of Venice Inlet.

Environmental work included daily turbidity monitoring, daily environmental species monitoring, and vibration monitoring. Beach fill quality control was also necessary
