BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This dredging project was for restoring 3.5 miles of beach. At the time, it was the single largest beach re-nourishment project in the Port Canaveral area 1995.
This is was the 5th construction of the sand bypass projects. Initially, sand placement widened the beach by 150 feet. As the sand began to move south, it is helping to maintain Brevard County Florida beaches to their original size.
This was a USACE project and was additionally funded by the Florida Department of Environmental protection.
There were temporary beach access closures for a few days while construction moved south and we tried to get out of there as quickly as possible.
Titan Provided a Project Safety (SSHO) and Quality Control (Quality Control Manager) to this project.
