BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This 45-foot Delaware deepening project involves dredging about 4 million cubic yards of material from portions of the Tinicum, Eddystone, Chester, Marcus Hook, and Bellevue Ranges of the Delaware River main channel. This is a USACE Project which consisted of 10 projects total begining in March 2010.
This leg of the project began in August of 2018 and will complete this year in 2018.
The deeper channel will provide for more efficient transportation of containerized, dry bulk (steel and slag) and liquid bulk (crude oil and petroleum products) cargo to and from the Delaware River ports.
