BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This project involved dredging and placement of non-rock materials. The non-rock materials suitable for Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS) placement was placed at the HARS Site. The non-rock materials unsuitable for HARS placement was placed Upland at a soil cleaning and disposal facility. This contract involved the use of a cable-arm clam-shell dredge with 26 cubic yard bucket. 6 scows and 2 tugs were used to move the potentially contaminated material to be deposed at the HARS and Upland. This dredging project also involved working in an active navigation channel with frequent ship traffic.
